"Alan is wonderful.
We wanted a relaxed, happy wedding and had some difficulty in finding a celebrant whose style would suit that feel, but still have gravitas and dignity for the serious bits of the day. We'd spoken to a couple of other celebrants on the phone, and not been happy that they "felt" right. One phone call with Alan (which we both remember very clearly) and we knew we'd found our person. Alan took the time to get to know us, asked very insightful questions during our meetings and delivered a beautifully written, personal ceremony for us both.
I hadn't realised just how little of the wedding ceremony
is actually the legal requirement, and that the rest (outside a church ceremony) is actually written by the celebrant. Alan presented with warmth, humour and love - and we'll always be very grateful to him for making our day better than we could have hoped. He is very accommodating, flexible and always happy to work around our hectic schedules to meet up prior to the wedding, and his presence on the day was a calming one.
